Bridge Faucet Hole Spacing: What to Measure Before You Order

Measure bridge faucet hole spacing, sink deck depth, backsplash clearance and spout reach before choosing a bridge kitchen faucet.

A bridge faucet is defined by its visible connection between the hot and cold controls, so its mounting layout must be planned carefully. The existing hole spacing, sink deck depth and clearance behind the faucet all affect whether the bridge body can sit comfortably and operate as intended.

What to measure or confirm

  • Measure center-to-center between the two outer mounting holes.
  • Record the hole diameter and the thickness of the sink deck or countertop.
  • Measure the distance behind the holes to the backsplash, window trim or wall.
  • Check the bowl depth and drain position against the stated spout reach.

How to use the measurements

Use the product drawing as the final source of truth. If the counter has pre-drilled holes, confirm that their spacing works with the selected bridge faucet before any order is placed.

Common planning mistakes

  • Measuring from the inner edges of holes instead of their centers.
  • Ignoring handle rotation near a backsplash.
  • Selecting a high-arc bridge faucet beneath a low window or cabinet.

Before you order

Compare the finished project measurements with the specifications for the exact fixture you intend to buy. Where plumbing, mounting or connection work is involved, confirm the installation approach with a qualified professional before cutting stone, drilling a sink or closing a wall.
