Fixture Installation Planning Guide
Technical guidance for choosing, installing and caring for lasting brass fixtures.
Good fixture installation begins before ordering. Record measurements, identify mounting surfaces, confirm supply locations and make sure the selected product works with the project sequence.
Build a measurement sheet
For faucets, record hole count, center-to-center spacing, bowl location, backsplash depth and height restrictions. For showers, record wall construction, proposed control height, outlet locations and access requirements. Use the dimensions supplied on each product page as the final comparison point.
Coordinate with the installer early
Share product links and specification drawings with a qualified plumber before rough-in work begins. They can confirm compatibility with existing plumbing, wall structure and local requirements.
Keep access for future service
Plan for shutoff access, removable components and any service opening your installation may require. Decorative decisions should not eliminate practical maintenance access.
Before-order checklist
- Product dimensions reviewed.
- Mounting configuration confirmed.
- Plumber consulted where needed.
- Finish and accessory plan coordinated.
- Replacement-part and service access considered.

Frequently asked questions
When should I involve a plumber?
Before rough-in work or purchase when the fixture affects plumbing locations, wall construction or valve compatibility.
What measurements should I record before ordering?
Record mounting holes, spacing, clearances, mounting-surface thickness and the relevant product dimensions.
Why is service access important?
Future maintenance may require access to shutoffs, valves or removable components, so it should be planned before installation.
